Seems the module results have just been put up on the University intranet. I got a first in two modules (Feminism and Gender, Class and Empire) and a 2.1 in the two exams I thought I'd messed up (Social Welfare in Britain was the one I didn't quite finish, and SII the core module is the one where the stuff I revised wasn't on the paper). Would have been nice to get a first in those ones as well since I worked so hard for it, but in the end I know I didn't do particularly well on those exams.
It doesn't mean anything this year but at least I've proved that I can do it. Tags: exams, results, uni Current Mood: pleased

Honest. Just been hugely busy! I worked all last week and hopefully I'm going to have enough money to get me through the summer now. Nine hour days with an hour commute each way were pretty taxing, although I signed something to say I wouldn't tell anyone about where I worked or what we did. It was to do with exams, so they were very big on security. I'm hoping they're going to ask me to work for them again in December when they do the next round of this. The pass list for my course came out last week, but I couldn't go in since I was working, and I didn't like asking anyone to check for me in case I failed. Blah, so now I don't know. But they should send me the results through the post soon anyway. Hjalte is coming over for 9 days on Thursday. I can't wait. Been obsessively cleaning and trying to make the house presentable. He's meeting my family this time, which is slightly worrying. My mom hasn't liked any of my boyfriends since lust_and_anger. Tags: hjalte, job, uni Current Mood: tired

I'm happy at the moment, have an exact date for when I'll see Hjalte next. It's been bothering me, it'll be a whole two months since the last time soon. But he's coming over on the 3rd of July and staying until the 12th, about twice as long as we've had together at one time so far. Which is awesome. But will have to deal with the whole 'meet the parents' (or, well, parent. I don't even know how to contact my dad) thing this time, which is a bit nerve wracking for us both. That creative writing thing was... interesting. Not too bad. Hopefully tomorrow will be ok too. ( Question for Hazz ) Tags: family, happy, hjalte, job Current Mood: happy

( Cut for brief sappiness )Other than that. Blah, I have no money. Need jobs, and the Unitemps site is tempting me with emails for 'work from home' jobs that have yet to actually appear on the site for me to apply for them. Boo. Boo I say! Tags: hjalte, job, sappy, unitemps Current Mood: loved

Juliette pulled out of doing that Creative Writing thing with me. Blah. I had a feeling she was going to. Oh well, I'll go on my own. I got info about shifts for my summer work last night. It's less that I hoped for, so I signed up for another one of those skills courses ( Advanced Learning Skills) to fill the time so I'm doing something productive and not just sitting on my ass playing WoW or idling on Facebook or something. At least after this I'll only need to complete one more module to be awarded the certificate. And now I can sign up without worrying about whether Juliette wants to do it too, since she pulled out of it. Not feeling prepared for this exam tomorrow but I'm having real problems concentrating on my revision at the moment. Ugh. Going to have lunch now and then try and get down to proper work after that.
